Slow Moon Rising is the final book by Eva Marie Everson in
the Cedar Key Novel series that looks at the Claybourne family: Anise,
Kimberly, Jayme-Leigh, Heather, and Ami. Each member of this family has some
type of issue they are dealing with that keeps the reader interested on their
individual story and seeing resolution to their problems. The book is written
in the perspective of the four sisters and their step-mother, Anise. I enjoyed
how this book spanned over 10 years by looking at the family during their time
spent at their summer home in Cedar Key.
I really enjoyed this book, and the fact that each of these
women was flawed but was able to find forgiveness. This is a great story that
looks at the realities of family without sugar-coating what many people go
through in their relationships with others.
