While this book still had the romance I've come to expect in any book by Julie Lessman, this did have a different twist as there was a mystery to solve within the pages. I was completely invested in the story of Breck, Molly, and Miss Lilly from the first page to the last.</span></p><br /><span style="font-size: 16px;">Molly was hurt in her past relationship, and she took on a new job as the caretaker for Miss Lilly to move past that failed relationship. Breck moved in with his Aunt Lily to to escape from a scandal which came out when he was playing soccer overseas. As I'm sure you can imagine, sparks erupted between the two as they spent more time together and investigated the murders which seemed to be popping up around every corner. </span>
<br /><br /><span style="font-size: 16px;">I really appreciated how faith was woven into the story. Bible verses and Biblical examples were prevalent as everyone in Brec's life was focused on leading him to a relationship with Christ. Miss Lilly, along with Cat, her husband Chase - who also happens to be a Pastor, Molly, and others in the community showed a Godly example for Brec - and any reader - to appreciate and learn from.</span>
<br /><br /><span style="font-size: 16px;">This book kept me interested and guessing until the final pages. I wasn't able to put it down as I kept telling myself "One more chapter". As soon as I thought I knew who was the culprit in the horrific events occuring on the lake, a new wrench would be thrown in to completely have me rethinking who the criminal was. I can honestly say I did not have any idea how the book would end as I found myself unable to put it down!!</span>
<br /><br /><span style="font-size: 16px;">I also liked how the book focused on the relationship between the Lads of the Lake and showed the men they have grown in to today. Between the picnics and events held at the lake, it felt like I really began to know some of the characters, and I hope a future book may revisit the lake and the characters who live on, or near, it.</span>
<br /><br /><span style="font-size: 16px;">If you are a fan of Julie Lessman, romance books, or mysteries, this book will be right up your alley. I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a book to enjoy as we go into the fall season :) </span><br />

Instead here Tyler stood on the wraparound front porch of Miss Lilly’s secluded cottage on Lake Loon, more handsome than a louse had a right to be. Those piercing gray eyes were as repentant—and deadly—as she’d ever seen. Hands plunged deep in the pockets of his favorite Rock Revival jeans, he offered an awkward shrug, his rolled-sleeved, buttoned-down shirt emphasizing broad shoulders and a well-defined torso. “These last six months without you have been awful, babe, convincing me I made the biggest and most brainless mistake of my life.”</span></p><p class="" style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background-color: white; color: #201f1e; font-family: "Segoe UI", "Segoe UI Web (West European)", "Segoe UI", -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, Roboto, "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size: 15px;"><span class="" style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; border: 0px; color: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-size: 20px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;"><em class="" style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased;">Yeah, me too.</em> Cocking her hip, Molly slapped her arms into an impatient fold, not about to let Tyler Madsen disarm her again. “Well, I certainly concur with brainless.” Her eyes narrowed to slits, as thin as her patience. “What do you want, Tyler?”</span></p><p class="" style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background-color: white; color: #201f1e; font-family: "Segoe UI", "Segoe UI Web (West European)", "Segoe UI", -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, Roboto, "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size: 15px;"><span class="" style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; border: 0px; color: inherit; font-family: inherit; font-size: 20px; font-stretch: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant: inherit; font-weight: inherit; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">That hard-sculpted jaw tensed as he threaded a hand through wheat-colored hair shorn on the sides. A Wing and a Prayer by Julie Lessman was one of my favorite books I've read in a long time. I really enjoy reading WW2 books and this did not disappoint! You could really tell from reading it that the author, Julie Lessman, spent a lot of time in researching many different aspects of WW2.<br /><br />Garbriella, Gabe, Dawn O'Connor was adopted into the O'Connor family at a young age, and she was always the rebel - not seeming to want to listen to authority figures. This doesn't change in A Wing and a Prayer, when she meets Alex Kincaid, her PT while she is training to be a Women Airforce Service Pilot (WASP). Alex is from the same community in Boston as Gabe, and he has heard many stories about her being a bully from his younger brothers. She definitely lives up to her reputation, as she butts heads with Alex at every turn. Her faith is tested throughout this book, and the growth that she experiences - through giving forgiveness - is one of my favorite parts of her story.<br /><br />I really enjoyed reading about the relationship between Alex and Gabe, and I'm glad I read all of the books from the beginning of this series. The O'Connor family is full of great characters with interesting stories, and every time I read one of the new books in the series, it reminds me how much I enjoyed the earlier books. If you haven't read any other books in the O'Connor series, I recommend you read the books from start to finish.<br /><br />I cannot wait to read more books in this series which is hopefully going to next share the stories of Gabe's "cousins" Hope and Henry.<br /><br />Disclosure of Material Connection: I was provided a copy of this ebook by the author or publisher. 17 years after the prequel, which introduced us to Finn McShane and Liberty O’Shea.
Although Finn and Liberty are no longer together, I was so happy to see them
reconnect in Love’s Silver Lining after Liberty’s parents became homeless due
to a fire. In addition to the story of Libby and Finn, and a twist on their
annulled marriage, there was a new relationship forming between Blaze, Finn’s
nephew, and Maggie, Libby’s goddaughter. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

see women get the right to vote factors into their relationships and the
decisions they make in life. I really enjoyed reading about this time in
history, and especially how the relationship between Finn and Libby was strained
due to Finn’s political aspirations and Libby’s beliefs about women voting.
While Libby and Finn’s relationship was strained due to their politics, Maggie
and Blaze faced obstacles regarding their faith.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

always writes about strong women, and I always look forward to being introduced

<a href="https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51mUVs3zlML._SS300_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img alt="For Love of Liberty (Silver Lining Ranch Series Book 1)" border="0" height="200" src="https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51mUVs3zlML._SS300_.jpg" title="For Love of Liberty (Silver Lining Ranch Series Book 1)" width="200" /></a>Julie Lessman has again written a book that had my attention from the first page! For Love of Liberty is a prequel for her new Silver Lining Ranch series, and this short story has me more than ready to read the story of others at Silver Lining Ranch!! :)</div>
<div style="border-image: none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-image: none;">
When Liberty O'Shea returns home from Vassar, she never imagined she's be working so closely with her High School nemesis Griffin McShane. But, in order to land her dream newspaper job, she has to co-chair the annual Fourth of July events for her town, Virginia City. This puts her and Griffin McShane in constant contact. As they begin to work together, their relationship changes, but they never lose their "butting heads" that seems to make their relationship such an interesting one. There are some twists and turns to how their relationship progresses, and I couldn't put the novella down until I found out what happened with Libby and Griffin!</div>
<div style="border-image: none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-image: none;">
I cannot wait to read more about Silver Lining Ranch in the upcoming series!! From the first look at a chapter of the new book, at the end of For Love of Liberty, I am sure it will be another "must-read"!!</div>

<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Corbel",sans-serif;">His Steadfast
Love, book three in the Isle of Hope series by Julie Lessman, was my absolute
favorite book I have read in a long time. While I loved all of the books in the
Isle of Hope series, I really related to the main character, Cat O’Bryen, in
the third book in the series. She feels like her whole life is changing since her
brother, mother, and twin sister were all recently married. I could completely
relate to this, as my brother and sister are both getting married in the next
year. Some of the feelings she had were exactly what I’m facing right now, so
this book was the perfect read for this point in my life!!</span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Corbel",sans-serif;"> </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Corbel",sans-serif;">Cat struggled
with her feelings of being left behind, and was soon coming to rely on Chase Griffin, the associate
pastor at her family’s church. Although Chase was not entirely excited about
his new friendship with Cat, her twin sister, Shannon, and brother, Jack, continually pushed
Chase to become a confidante for Cat. This confidante/friend relationship let
to the two of them spending time together as they both worked through some of
their past issues. Cat, her anger at God, and Chase, a past relationship that
still haunts him to this day. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Corbel",sans-serif;"> </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Corbel",sans-serif;">The characters
in this story were very realistic, and they faced issues that can resonate with
anyone reading the series. As with the past books in the series, I liked to read about Cat's siblings and see what changes have happened in their lives since the first two Isle of Hope books. While I was definitely disappointed to finish this book,
and I’m assuming the series looking at the O’Bryen family, I can’t wait for
any future books written by Julie Lessman . Her
books are some of my favorites, and they do not disappoint!! </span><span style="font-family: Wingdings; mso-ascii-font-family: Corbel; mso-char-type: symbol; mso-hansi-font-family: Corbel; mso-symbol-font-family: Wingdings;"><span style="mso-char-type: symbol; mso-symbol-font-family: Wingdings;">J</span></span><span style="font-family: "Corbel",sans-serif;"> I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a romantic Christian book that looks at real issues so many people are currently going through. </span></div>

<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style",serif; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;">Julie Lessman has again written a great book with
Love Everlasting, the second book in the Isle of Hope Series. This is the
second book in the series, and it follows Shannon O’Bryen and Sam Cunningham.
Sam works at the local hospital with Shannon’s Brother, Jack, who was the focus
of the first book in the series. Although Jack warned Shannon about Sam’s
background as a “ladies man”, they soon form a strong friendship as Shannon
coaches Sam how to get back his ex-girlfriend. While their friendship develops,
some secrets come out about Shannon’s past that could destroy their
relationship. All while this friendship is growing, some characters from the
first book face changes of their own. Shannon’s mom, and her next door neighbor
Dr. Ben Carmichael, must move past some problems in their own relationship to
determine God’s plans for their future. Jack O’Bryen and Lacey Carmichael O’Bryen
also look forward to their future together, and the family they are hoping to
grow. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style",serif; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;">I really enjoyed this book, and I was so excited to
get the chance to read the second book in the series! The characters are very
easy to relate to, and they seem to have the same problems and struggles that
everyone can relate to; forgiveness, jealousy, and new relationships. I
especially liked reading about some of the characters from the first book in
the series. It was great to see how their lives have changed since last reading

<div style="border-image: none; margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">

Brides series by Tracie Peterson, and it followed Phoebe Von Bergen as she
travels to Montana with her father, County Von Bergen, so he can purchase
Sapphires from America. Little does Phoebe know, she is about to learn some things
about her father’s past that will forever change her life. In addition to the
family aspect of the book, there is romance as Phoebe meets Ian Harper, a lapidary
in Helena, whose mother works at the Broadwater Hotel where Phoebe and her
father are staying while in Montana. </span></div>

<div style="border-image: none; margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style",serif; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;">This book really focuses on the theme of honesty,
and how your life can be altered forever if you keep secrets from one another.
Phoebe and Ian both faced lies in their pasts that are affecting them into
their adulthood. Also, forgiveness is a theme, as they both must forgive those
who wronged them in the past to move on to a future together. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Bookman Old Style",serif; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;">While this is the 2nd book in the series,
you do not need to read the first book in order to follow the story of Phoebe
and Ian. I enjoyed this and look forward to reading the 3rd book in
this series!! </span></div>

death was not an accidental drowning as reported, and she has moved from her
home in London to Boston to prove there was foul play involved in the tragic
death of her sister. Romulus White is excited to learn Stella, the artist he
had been attempting to hire at his magazine for the past few years, has moved
to Boston. He soon makes it his mission to entice her to work for him, and that
includes him helping with her investigation. Little do they both know the personal

corruption throughout the city. </span></div>

<div style="border-image: none; margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial Unicode MS",sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;">Elizabeth Camden kept my interest completely
throughout the entire book! From This Moment was not only great for the romance
and mystery, but it had a lot of history in the book as it looked at Boston
during the time of the construction of the first subway system in the United
States. I really enjoyed the relationship that grew between Romulus and Stella,
and they were both great characters that made me really root for them. </span></div>

<br />
<div style="border-image: none; margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Dotum","sans-serif"; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;">Her One and Only is the first book I’ve read in the
Porter Family Novel Series by Becky Wade, but I was so glad I was able to read
it. It definitely made me want to go back and read the first 3 books that focus
on the Porter brothers. This book looks at the youngest Porter, and the only
sister, Dru. Dru is a former Marine who now works as an executive protection
agent (bodyguard). When Dru’s new assignment has her protecting Gray Fowler, a
NFL tight end for the Dallas Mustangs, she finds it difficult to keep her
growing feelings for him from affecting her job. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="border-image: none; margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<a class="a-link-normal a-text-normal" href="http://www.amazon.com/Her-One-Only-Becky-Wade/dp/0764211102/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1464100040&sr=8-1&keywords=her+one+and+only" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img alt="Product Details" class="s-access-image cfMarker" data-csm-markers="af,cf" data-search-image-load="" height="160" src="http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51iHOt9zJdL._AC_US160_.jpg" srcset="http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51iHOt9zJdL._AC_US160_.jpg 1x, http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51iHOt9zJdL._AC_US240_QL65_.jpg 1.5x, http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51iHOt9zJdL._AC_US320_QL65_.jpg 2x, http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51iHOt9zJdL._AC_US400_QL65_.jpg 2.5x, http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51iHOt9zJdL._AC_US480_QL65_.jpg 3x" width="160" /></a><span style="font-family: "Dotum","sans-serif"; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;"> </span></div>
<br />
<div style="border-image: none; margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Dotum","sans-serif"; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;">Gray Fowler is not interested in having protective
agents, even after receiving threating letters in the mail. When Dru is
assigned to protect him, he immediately begins to feel a connection to her. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>While I think his feelings for her were real, I
don’t like the way in which he treated their relationship at some points.
Placing bets on who can kiss Dru first would not be the way he should, or would,
treat a person he had growing feelings for. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Dotum","sans-serif"; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;"> </span></div>
<br />
<div style="border-image: none; margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Dotum","sans-serif"; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;">I really enjoyed this book. The suspense combined with
the romance made this book one I didn’t want to put down. In addition to the
romance, I liked how the book focused on both of these characters looking for
something more in their life. Dru told how her life was before her relationship
with Jesus, and how her life has changed now that she has a closer relationship
with God. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Dotum","sans-serif"; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;"> </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Dotum","sans-serif"; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;">I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for
a Christian romance with suspense thrown in </span><span style="font-family: Wingdings; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%; mso-ascii-font-family: Dotum; mso-char-type: symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Dotum; mso-hansi-font-family: Dotum; mso-symbol-font-family: Wingdings;"><span style="mso-char-type: symbol; mso-symbol-font-family: Wingdings;">J</span></span></div>

<div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Bell MT",serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">The Sapphire Brides Series first book, by Tracie Peterson, was
a great read that had me not wanting to put the book down! In A Treasure
Concealed Emily Carver has spent her life hiding herself from others as she
moves from mining town to mining town with her father and mother. She longs for
a home of her own, with a family that is not constantly relocating. Although
she has this dream, she feels it’s her responsibility to care for her ill
mother and her father, who is always searching for the wealth he feels the Lord
has in store for him. Emily’s life is soon changed as Caeden Thibault moves to
her community. Caeden is a government employee who is all too happy to leave
his life in New York and travel to Montana.</span></div>
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">
</span></div>
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Bell MT",serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">As you can imagine, some romance, mystery, and drama is within
the pages of A Treasure Concealed. I really enjoyed the characters in the book,
and the tight-knit community they created. Everyone seemed to look out for one
another, which I guess was a necessity during that time-period. I also liked
seeing the relationship develop between Caeden and Emily, as we learned more
about Caeden’s past. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!!</span></div>

story and the experiences he went through while recovering. Travis Mills, a member
of the 82nd Airborne Division, is a quadruple amputee veteran from
the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. His book was truly inspiring and shows the
sacrifice he, and other soldiers, make on a daily basis. His story covers his
younger years, his time in the military, and recovering from his injury. He
didn’t gloss over the experiences he had and the way he felt in terms of his
anger after the explosion. I also liked the focus on his friends, family, and
soldiers – it was interesting to see the different perspectives of people who were
close to him in his life. </span></div>

<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Amish Sweethearts is the second book in the Neighbors of
Lancaster County series by Leslie Gould, and it was one of my favorite books
about the Amish because it shows the relationship between an Amish girl, Lila,
and her plain neighbor, Zane. Zane enters the military when he realizes he has
no future with Lila since she refuses to move away with him, and she is
planning to marry within the Amish community. Although they’re separated by
distance, their feelings for one another do not fade. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;"> </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Although I didn’t read the first book in this series, I was
able to follow along with this book and really connect with all of the
characters. It did take me a little bit of time before I could tie all of the
relationships and names together since there were a lot of characters mentioned
within the first few chapters. After I got past that point, I really enjoyed
reading about Lila, Zane, and the rest of the people in their community. Simon’s
story was also interesting because I do not know of any Amish entering into the
military. </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;"> </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;">Since I was such a fan of this book, I am looking forward
to reading future books in this series. I may even go back and read the first
book so I can see how the characters got to the point they are in the second
book in this series. </span></div>

<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Batang",serif;">A Worthy Heart is
the second book in the Courage to Dream series by Susan Anne Mason. Maggie
Montgomery and her brother, Gabe, are in a new country as they came to America
from Ireland to visit their brother Rylan Montgomery. Little do they know, they
both find themselves falling for people far from their homes. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Maggie soon meets Adam O’Leary, a young man
recently released from prison and looking for redemption from his past. After
having strained relations with his family, he decides to focus on a new career.
He does not feel worthy of a relationship with someone like Maggie, but they
find themselves drawn to one another as he feels very protective of her as her
past comes to haunt her in America. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Batang",serif;"><o:p> </o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Batang",serif;">I really liked this
book and watching the relationship grow between Maggie and Adam. They both care
deeply for their families, and you could tell they really cared for each other.
I also enjoyed reading about Gabe and Aurora’s story, and I hope the next book
in the series might focus on their relationship. I can’t wait to read the next
book in the series!!<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Consolas; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%;">The Painter’s Daughter by Julie Klassen was a wonderful book that
kept me entertained for its’ entirety. Even thought it was over 400 pages, I
read this relatively quickly since I didn’t want to put it down once I started
reading the story of Sophie DuPont. Sophie works at her father’s art studio,
and she finds herself in a love triangle between two brothers, the artist
Wesley Overtree and Captain Stephen Overtree. When Sophie finds herself left
behind by Wesley, she marries his brother and returns to their family home at
Overtree Hall. Before she can even become too comfortable with her new husband,
he is forced to leave her for his military position. When Wesley again enters
the picture she is put in an extremely difficult position, as she is married to
the brother of the man she first fell in love with.</span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Consolas; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%;"> </span></div>
<br />
<div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Consolas; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%;">As I said, I really enjoyed reading this book, and I would be
interested in reading more books by Julie Klassen in the future. I liked how
there was a mix of romance, military, and family interactions. </span></div>

<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Batang",serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 107%;">Although I’m not the biggest fan of Science Fiction books, I
thought Lightning, in the Sone Braide Chronicles by Bonnie Calhoun, would be a
good book to read after I enjoyed the first book in the series. Selah, who was
reunited with her father, is now looking for her step-father, mother, and
brother who must now be rescued from the Mountain. The fast pace book follows Selah
on this mission while she faces many challenges along the way!! <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">
<span style="font-family: "Batang",serif; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 107%;">I think this book is best read in order with the other books in
this series. It would be confusing to understand if you did not read the other
books. Although I read the first book in this series, there are still questions
that I’m looking to see resolved. Maybe they will be revealed in the 3rd
book in this series!<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Calibri Light",sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%; mso-ascii-theme-font: major-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: major-latin;">I always enjoy reading new Christmas books as soon as the holiday
season starts, and Dan Walsh’s new book, Keeping Christmas, was the perfect
short book to read over the Thanksgiving Holiday. The cover is what really made
me want to first read the book, and the story within the pages definitely did
not disappoint. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Stan and Judith are the
focus of Keeping Christmas, and they are empty nesters with their three
children unable to spend the holidays with their parents. As so often happens,
spending the holiday season alone causes Judith to become depressed, which her
husband tries desparately to remedy. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

behind the Christmas season. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

in the Brides with Style series, and it is just as good a book as the first
book. Although you don’t have to read the first book in the series to follow
the story of Katie Fisher and Brady James, it does help you to better
understand what is going on in the first few chapters. Katie is working at a
successful bridal shop, she has a great boyfriend, and her grandmother is
getting married. While all of this is going on in Katie’s life, she is facing
some major obstacles in her life, like the reappearance of her ex-boyfriend.
She is also planning the best Black Friday sale for Cosmopolitan Bridal. As you
could imagine, all of these things combined cause Katie’s life to become “Confused”,
as the title suggests.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; mso-bidi-font-family: Aharoni;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Called to Pray, Astounding Stories of Answered Prayer by Linda Evans
Shepherd is a great story for anyone who is looking to be uplifted or who feels
like their prayers go unanswered. The book has different stories that are
amazing!! They show how a person may feel the strong need to pray for someone
at the exact time they are going through a crisis or difficult time in their
life. One story that really stood out to me was how a pastor was flying his
plane, just about to run out of gas and suffer a crash landing, when a member
of his church felt the need to pray for him. Another story told about a woman
who felt compelled to sit at a different place at church, and that led her to
pray for a man she had never met before who had cancer. It’s worth reading to
see stories like this, and what happened during and after the individuals
prayed.</span></span></div>

some of my family members, as it’s a great testament to the power of prayer. </span></span></div>

you in the Christmas mood, look no further than The Christmas Joy Ride by
Melody Carlson. When 85 year-old Joy decides to travel her RV across Route 66
to her new home in a retirement community, her neighbor Miranda can’t help but
be nervous so she agrees to tag along and help with the trip. Joy has plans to
stop at different locations and spread some Christmas cheer to those who need
it most. Throughout the trip Miranda and Joy meet many different characters,
and it’s nice to read about how their little bit of Christmas spirit helps
others. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></div>

Prayers by John Mason covers a chapter of Proverbs for each chapter, and it can
be read as a 31 day devotional. The first section of each day is the particular
section of the Bible. The second component of each day is a prayer that relates
to the Bible reading. This really helps you think about what your reading and
better relate Proverbs to your daily lives. I really liked the format of this
book, and the fact that Proverbs is a great book of the Bible to study. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 107%;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Vendetta, a
book in the Nikki Boyd Files, set Nikki Boyd on a dangerous journey to find a
missing girl, while also trying to unravel why this kidnapping seems to have
the same signs as the kidnapping of her sister 10 years ago. While Nikki works
through the details of this case, many characters are introduced, and I couldn’t
help but question each of their motives and intentions for becoming involved in
the case. Since this investigation hits so close to home, it has Nikki
questioning if her position on the Tennessee Missing Person Task Force is
really where she belongs. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

reading the relationship between Nikki and her friend Tyler. I think that in future
books their relationship will continue to grow as Tyler begins to recover from
the grief and guilt he feels over the death of his wife. I enjoyed this book,
and I’ll be looking forward to reading future books in the Nikki Boyd Files. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

Mindy has such a great sense of humor, and you can really see that in the short essays she writes for her book. She covers topics like her dating life, how her life has changed since she became famous, and what a typical day in her life looks like. This book is written like she's talking to a friend, which makes it a very fast read. It's also nice that you would be able to just pick the book up every once and awhile to read one of her short essays in a very short sitting. <br />
<br />
Although I liked both of her books, I would have to say I think the first book was more interesting and entertaining. If you are trying to decide between which of her books to purchase, I would definitely go with the first book she wrote. <br />
